Sif began cultivating theatrical skills on the family farm, while singing and performing for audiences of dairy cows. (It was said these performances were very moo-ving). They later attended the University of MN Duluth earned a B.A. in Theatre and music minor. While there, Sif performed in opera, operetta, musicals, straight theatre, children's theatre, improv, and also directed, music directed, composed, worked as a teaching artist, and played in pits.
Duluth Credits include: Christopher Boone in The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, Jim Hawkins in Treasure Island (Wise Fool Theater), Mr. Hyde/Ensemble in Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde (The Underground), The Queen of the Night in Mozart's Magic Flute (UMD), Mandy Bloom in Time Stands Still (Duluth Playhouse), Diana in Lend Me a Tenor (NorShor Theatre), and Shere Khan in The Jungle Book (Duluth Playhouse TYA).
After years in various theatrical venues, Sif took on a new challenge: performing in the land of heatstroke and outdoor privies, debuting in 2017 at the MN Renaissance Festival. Shortly thereafter, they moved to Minneapolis, and are currently a member of Ring of Keys.

Teaching Artist
Sif has over 10 years of teaching experience in a variety of contexts, from teaching performing arts in schools and running theatre and creative writing camps, to teaching Tae Kwon Do and private music lessons.
Sif's teaching journey began while working toward earning a 2nd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, and spending extra time in classes as an assistant instructor helping run classes and teach students age 4 - adult. They also helped run several theatre camps at Melrose Area High School at this time.
After graduating, Sif worked as an assistant musical director, and spent summers directing and teaching theatre camps. While studying theatre and music at the University of MN Duluth, they taught private music lessons in voice, piano, and guitar.
Since completing a degree in theatre with a music minor, Sif has worked as a drama & music teacher in Duluth, and as a performing arts teacher in Minneapolis. They have taught with Stages Theatre, as well as various other companies & schools in the Twin Cities area.
